VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

As educators, we believe we have a strong responsibility to nurture a deepening understanding of and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, perspectives, and cultures in current and future generations. We share a vision for reconciliation to build awareness of, work collaboratively with and actively recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians of these Lands we work and learn on and those across Australia. We want to do our part in embracing true and meaningful reconciliation as we work towards creating and sharing a rich, reconciled national culture.      We  take a holistic, service wide approach to drive authentic action that supports growth in key areas of our reconciliation journey. This includes developing active and supportive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people as we work together to implement change in our community of practice.     We commit to deepening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and heritages and endeavour to fully appreciate what it means to teach on the Country of First Nations Peoples. We will strive to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives to ensure these are embedded throughout our daily programs in a respectful and authentic manner.
